1 tablespoon sesame seeds
3 cups cooked white rice
1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
1/4 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

3. Heat 1 tablespoon vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
4. Add the broccoli and cook for 3 to 4 minutes until bright green and just tender, then remove it from the pan.
5. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon oil and cook the beef in a single layer for 2 to 3 minutes until browned.
6. Stir in the garlic, ginger, and green onions and cook for 30 seconds.
7. Return the broccoli to the pan and pour in the sauce.
8. Stir well and cook for 1 to 2 minutes until the sauce thickens and coats everything.
9. Serve hot over cooked white rice and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Notes
Slice the beef against the grain for the most tender texture.
Cook the beef in batches if needed so it sears well instead of steaming.
Have the sauce mixed before cooking because stir-fry recipes move quickly.
