Ingredients

4 cups cooked shredded chicken

1 bag frozen tater tots, 32 ounces

3/4 cup buffalo sauce

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1 tablespoon ranch seasoning

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/4 cup sliced green onions

2 tablespoons chopped parsley


Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, mix the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, cream cheese, sour cream, ranch seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, 3/4 cup cheddar cheese, and 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese until fully combined.

3. Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

4. Arrange the frozen tater tots in an even layer over the top.

5. Bake uncovered for 30 to 35 minutes, until hot and bubbling and the tater tots start to turn golden.

6. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the top.

7. Return the dish to the oven and bake for 8 to 10 minutes more, until the cheese is melted.

8. Let the casserole rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with green onions and parsley before serving.

Notes

Rotisserie chicken makes this recipe even faster and adds great flavor.

For a milder casserole, reduce the buffalo sauce slightly and add a little extra sour cream.

Reheat leftovers in the oven or air fryer for the crispiest tater tots.
