Description

Creamy Cajun Chicken Tortellini in Velveeta Garlic Cheese Sauce is a bold, comforting pasta dish that combines seasoned chicken, pillowy tortellini, and a silky Velveeta-based garlic cheese sauce. It’s a weeknight favorite packed with spice, richness, and warmth—all in one skillet.

Ingredients

2 large chicken breasts, diced

2 teaspoons Cajun seasoning

10 ounces cheese tortellini (fresh or refrigerated)

1 tablespoon butter (for cooking chicken)

1 tablespoon butter (for sauce)

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

8 ounces Velveeta cheese, cubed

2 tablespoons sun-dried tomatoes (optional)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

1. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add diced chicken breast and season with Cajun seasoning. Cook until browned and fully done, about 6–8 minutes. Remove and set aside.

2. In a large pot, boil salted water. Add tortellini and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

3. Using the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Melt another tablespoon of butter, then sauté the garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.

4. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in cubed Velveeta cheese until fully melted and smooth.

5. Add chicken and tortellini to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce. Add sun-dried tomatoes if using. Heat through for 2–3 minutes.

6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For extra creaminess, add 1–2 tablespoons of cream cheese along with the Velveeta.

Use freshly grated garlic for the best flavor infusion in the sauce.

If reheating, add a splash of milk or cream to loosen the sauce and avoid clumping.
