Description

Creamy Parmesan Chicken and Orzo is a comforting one-skillet meal that combines seared chicken, creamy Parmesan sauce, and tender orzo pasta for an effortlessly elegant dish. It’s rich, hearty, and perfect for a cozy night in.


Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

1 small onion, finely chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup orzo pasta

2 cups chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley


Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken 4–5 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté onion and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add orzo and toast for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and simmer until orzo is mostly tender and liquid is reduced, about 8–10 minutes.
  5. Stir in heavy cream and Parmesan, mixing until smooth and creamy.
  6. Return chicken to skillet and simmer until heated through.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
