Description

Crispy Air Fryer Broccoli is a quick breakfast side, easy dinner vegetable, healthy snack, and one of those simple food ideas that works for almost any meal. This easy recipe gives you tender broccoli with golden, crunchy edges, savory garlic flavor, bright lemon, and a shower of Parmesan for a fast side dish that fits right into your breakfast ideas, dinner ideas, and everyday healthy eating routine.


Ingredients

4 cups broccoli florets

1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes

2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon lemon juice

lemon wedges for serving


Instructions

1. Wash the broccoli and dry it very well with a clean towel or paper towels. Cut it into even bite-sized florets.

2. Place the broccoli in a large bowl. Add the olive oil, garlic, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Toss well to coat.

3. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F for 2 to 3 minutes if your model recommends preheating.

4. Arrange the broccoli in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.

5. Air fry for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the edges are crisp and browned.

6. Transfer to a serving bowl, then sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and drizzle with lemon juice. Serve right away with lemon wedges.

Notes

Dry the broccoli really well before seasoning so it crisps instead of steaming.

Do not overcrowd the basket or the florets will soften instead of roast.

Add an extra 1 to 2 minutes for darker, crispier edges if you like more char.
