Description

Crispy Fried Green Beans are the perfect easy appetizer, party snack, or side dish when you want something crunchy, savory, and seriously satisfying. This easy recipe features fresh green beans coated in a seasoned Parmesan breadcrumb crust and cooked until golden, making it a great option for quick snacks, easy dinner sides, game day food ideas, and simple appetizer recipes everyone will want to grab first.


Ingredients

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 large eggs

1 tablespoon water

1 cup panko breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

2 tablespoons oil spray or cooking oil


Instructions

1. Wash and trim the green beans, then pat them completely dry.

2. Place the flour in one shallow bowl.

3. In a second bowl, whisk together the eggs and water.

4. In a third bowl, combine the panko breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.

5. Dredge the green beans in the flour, then dip them in the egg mixture, then coat them in the breadcrumb mixture.

6. Arrange the coated green beans in a single layer for cooking.

7. Air fry at 390°F for 8 to 10 minutes, shaking halfway through, or bake at 425°F for 12 to 15 minutes, turning once, or deep fry at 350°F for 2 to 3 minutes until golden and crisp.

8. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

Dry the green beans well before breading so the coating sticks better.

Do not overcrowd the basket, pan, or baking sheet or the beans will not crisp properly.

Serve immediately for the best texture and crunch.
