Description

Crunchy, chocolatey, and naturally sweetened, this Homemade Chocolate Granola combines rolled oats, cocoa, roasted peanuts, and rich dark chocolate chunks. Perfect as a breakfast cereal, yogurt topping, or an irresistible snack.

Ingredients

3 cups old-fashioned rolled oats

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup roasted peanuts

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup melted coconut oil

1/2 cup maple syrup

1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

3/4 cup dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F (163°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. In a large mixing bowl, stir together oats, cocoa powder, peanuts, and salt until well combined.

3. In a small saucepan, melt coconut oil over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in maple syrup and vanilla extract.

4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is evenly coated.

5. Spread the mixture on the baking sheet in an even layer.

6. Bake for 20 minutes, stir gently, then bake an additional 10–15 minutes until slightly crisp and fragrant.

7. Let the granola cool completely on the tray.

8. Once cooled, stir in dark chocolate chunks.

9. Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.

Notes

For extra clusters, press granola flat on the pan before baking and don’t stir midway.

Add-ins like coconut flakes or chopped dried cherries can be stirred in after baking.

Let granola cool fully before transferring to a container—this locks in the crunch.
