Description

Quick Easter M&M Blondies are a soft, chewy, easy dessert bar loaded with pastel chocolate candies and rich brown sugar flavor. This easy recipe is perfect for spring parties, Easter dessert trays, quick baking projects, and fun food ideas when you need simple dessert ideas everyone will love.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed

1 large egg

1 large egg yolk

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup Easter M&Ms

1/2 cup white chocolate chips, optional

2 tablespoons Easter M&Ms, for topping

Instructions

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth and glossy.

3. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, then whisk until fully combined.

4. Stir in the flour, baking powder, and salt just until no dry streaks remain.

5. Fold in the Easter M&Ms and white chocolate chips if using.

6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan and press the extra Easter M&Ms on top.

7. Bake for 22 to 26 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden and the center is just set.

8. Cool completely in the pan before lifting out and slicing into 16 blondies.

Notes

Use room temperature eggs for a smoother batter.

Do not overbake or the blondies will lose their soft, chewy center.

Let the blondies cool fully before slicing for the cleanest bars.
