Ingredients

For the Steak Bites
  • 1 lb sirloin steak cubed
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped
For the Cheesy Fries
  • 1 bag crinkle-cut fries
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika

Method

Instructions
  1. Cut the sirloin steak into roughly one-and-a-half-inch cubes. Let them sit at room temperature for about five minutes. Generously season each piece with salt, pepper, and paprika on all sides.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering. Add the steak bites in a single layer and let them develop a golden brown crust for about three to four minutes on each side without moving them. Reduce heat slightly and add the butter and minced garlic, stirring gently to coat everything. Cook for a total of eight to ten minutes for medium-rare.
  3. Just before serving, sprinkle freshly chopped parsley over the steak bites.
  4. While the steak bites are cooking, prepare the fries according to package directions. Bake, air fry, or deep fry until golden and crispy on the outside.
  5. Transfer hot crispy fries to a serving plate. Sprinkle garlic powder and paprika over them, then top with shredded mozzarella cheese. The residual heat will melt the cheese. For extra melty cheese, broil for one minute.

Notes

For best results, use high-quality sirloin steak and cut it into even-sized pieces for consistent cooking. Resist the urge to move the steak bites while searing to develop that perfect golden crust. The garlic butter creates an incredible pan sauce, so don't skip spooning it over the finished dish. Serve immediately for the crispiest fries.
