Bold, tangy, and bursting with spicy ranch flavor, these Texas Firecrackers are the ultimate no-bake snack. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or late-night cravings, this recipe takes humble saltine crackers and transforms them into a fiery, addictive treat with just a few pantry staples.


Ingredients

4 sleeves of saltine crackers

1 cup canola or vegetable oil

1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix

1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Optional: dried parsley or cracked sea salt for garnish


Instructions

  1. Place the crackers upright in a clean gallon-sized zip-top bag or sealable container.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the oil, ranch seasoning, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  3. Pour the oil mixture evenly over the crackers.
  4. Seal the bag or container and gently flip or rotate several times to coat the crackers well.
  5. Let sit at room temperature for at least 4 hours, flipping occasionally.
  6. Once fully soaked and seasoned, serve as-is or bake at 250°F for 15-20 minutes for extra crunch (optional).
